Photos and details of Tom Armstrong's 1938 HK. Gibson states that production of the 1938 HK was limited to 50 produced. Today, there is still an estimated total production of 50 units, but Krieghoff collectors have now verified 21 examples of 1938 dated HKs. Following is a photo treatise of one of the verified pieces.

This gun was owned by a Julian Joseph Guntensperger from the Eschenbach region of Switzerland. He graduated with a PhD from the University of Freiberg, and became the first academic Dean of the Science Faculty at Laval University in Quebec. He died at age 93.
The serial no. of the Luger is 18903. The caliber is 7.65mm Parabellum. Pistol has lanyard.
